The Accidental Prime Minister is a biographical movie directed by Vijay Ratnakar Gutte and written by Mayank Tewari. The movie is based on the 2014 memoir of the same name by Sanjaya Baru. The film was released on 11 January 2019, and received mixed reviews from critics. It earned a moderate opening of ₹4.50 crore at the box office on its first day and ₹30.52 crore as of January 24.
