Pet Sematary is a supernatural horror movie directed by Kevin Kölsch and Dennis Widmyer and written by Jeff Buhler, from a screen story by Matt Greenberg. It is the second adaptation of the novel of the same name by Stephen King, after the 1989 movie. The movie stars Jason Clarke, Amy Seimetz, and John Lithgow. Talks for a new adaptation of Pet Sematary began in March 2010, with Greenberg initially writing the screenplay. Lorenzo di Bonaventura and Steven Schneider were revealed to be producing the remake with Juan Carlos Fresnadillo in talks to direct it. By December 2017, Paramount Pictures had greenlit a new adaptation of Stephen King’s novel with duo filmmakers Kölsch and Widmyer directing it. Pet Sematary movie is about Dr. Louis Creed and his wife Rachel, relocate from Boston to rural Maine with their two young children. The couple soon discover a mysterious burial ground hidden deep in the woods near their new home. When tragedy strikes, Louis turns to his neighbour Jud Crandall, setting off a perilous chain reaction that unleashes an unspeakable evil with horrific consequences.
